Open Claude Settings
Go to claude.ai → Settings → Integrations.
Add integration
Click "Add integration" and paste the Zaprep MCP server URL.
Authorize
Claude redirects you to Zaprep to approve access — click Allow.

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude call tools exposed by a third-party service — in this case, your Zaprep account — directly from a conversation.
Do I need a Zaprep account to use this?
Yes. The MCP server acts on your existing Zaprep workspace, so sign up (or log in) first, then connect it to Claude.
Is this only for Claude.ai?
The hosted MCP server works with any MCP-compatible client. Claude.ai has first-class "Add integration" support, which is why the setup guide below uses it — API keys (Settings → API Keys) work for programmatic or CLI-based MCP clients too.
Can Claude send messages on my behalf without asking?
Every tool call is scoped to your workspace and logged. Actions like creating or deleting an automation happen when you ask for them in the conversation — Claude isn’t polling or acting autonomously in the background.
What if I don’t use Claude?
You can still manage everything from the Zaprep dashboard directly. MCP is an optional faster path for people who already live in a chat interface.
