As listed on manychat.com/pricing when we checked on 2026-10-19, ManyChat has a Free plan at $0 with 25 Active Contacts a month, then paid plans billed monthly at $17 (Essential), $39 (Pro), $99 (Business) and $199 (Advanced). Annual billing lowers those to $14, $29, $69 and $139 a month. Each paid plan includes a set number of Active Contacts and charges per extra contact above that. ManyChat notes that prices exclude tax and depend on your billing country.

ManyChat has a free plan, but it is small. As listed on its pricing page, the Free plan covers 25 Active Contacts a month, up to 4 active automations, 2 connected channels and 1 user, and messages carry ManyChat branding. There is no overage on Free, so once you need more than 25 people a month you move to a paid plan. Essential and Pro also come with a 14-day free trial.
Pro is the plan most creators compare against Free. It raises the allowance from 25 to 2,500 Active Contacts, connects 3 channels instead of 2, adds broadcasts, advanced automations and ManyChat AI, allows 3 users, and removes ManyChat branding. It costs $39 billed monthly or $29 a month billed annually, plus $0.05 per extra contact on monthly billing.
How billing works
An Active Contact is one person you message, or who messages you, through ManyChat in a monthly billing period. However many messages you exchange with them, they count once. Go over your plan's allowance and ManyChat keeps your automations running and bills each extra contact at your plan's overage rate. You can set an overage limit.
Zaprep plans are a flat monthly price with a monthly message allowance: Free covers 1,000 messages, Solo 5,000 and Growth 15,000. There is no per-contact overage bill. Free and Solo pause at the limit until the next month or an upgrade, so a viral post can't produce a surprise invoice.
Which unit is cheaper depends on your audience. If each person gets a single DM, contacts and messages are roughly the same number. If you run long multi-step conversations with the same people, contact-based pricing counts them once.

There is no automatic import. Most comment-to-DM automations take a few minutes to rebuild in Zaprep: pick the post, add your keywords, write the reply and the DM. Turn the ManyChat version off for that post when you switch, so commenters don't get two DMs.
