A ChatGPT plan with developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu). Workspace admins may need to allow custom connectors.
Zaprep MCP server URL
https://www.zaprep.com/api/mcpIn ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps & Connectors, then Advanced settings, and switch on Developer mode.
Choose Create, name it Zaprep and paste the MCP URL below. Set authentication to OAuth.
ChatGPT opens Zaprep. Log in and approve access for your workspace.
Start a new chat, add Zaprep from the tools menu and ask for what you need. ChatGPT asks you to confirm every write.

Not yet. You add Zaprep as a custom connector in developer mode. It uses the same MCP server and OAuth sign-in as our Claude connector.
Custom MCP connectors need developer mode, which OpenAI offers on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. On Business and Enterprise an admin may have to allow it first.
No. ChatGPT signs in to Zaprep with OAuth and never sees your Instagram or Facebook credentials. Zaprep talks to Meta with the tokens you approved when you connected your accounts.
ChatGPT asks you to confirm write actions from custom connectors before running them. New automations are saved paused, so nothing sends until you turn it on, and every change shows up in your Zaprep dashboard.
Check that developer mode is on, that you started a new chat after adding the connector, and that Zaprep is selected in the tools menu. If sign-in loops, delete the connector and add it again.
Yes. Zaprep runs its own remote MCP server at https://www.zaprep.com/api/mcp. No Zapier or other middleman is involved.
Yes. MCP access is included on every Zaprep plan, Free included. Your plan’s usual limits on automations and DMs still apply.
To run automations, yes: connect an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page in Zaprep first. Without one the AI can only read your Zaprep settings.

New automations an AI creates are saved paused, so nothing sends until you or the AI turns it on after you confirm. Edits to an automation that is already on apply right away, and most AI apps ask before running a change. You can disconnect any AI app in Zaprep under Settings, then AI tools.
Yes. Once connected, the AI can list and export the contacts your automations collected, including emails. Only connect AI apps you trust, and disconnect any you stop using.
Open Settings, then AI tools in Zaprep and choose Disconnect next to the app. It is signed out right away. For an API key, delete it under Settings, then API keys.
