Paste the comments or usernames from your giveaway post, set your rules, and draw random winners in one click. It works for Facebook comments too, and nothing you paste leaves your browser.
Paste usernames or full comments, one per line. If a line starts with an @handle, that handle is used as the entrant's name.
No valid entries yet
Runs entirely in your browser. Your entries are never uploaded or stored, and the draw uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues).
How it works
Open your giveaway post and copy the comments or the commenters' usernames. Paste them into the box, one entry per line.
Remove duplicates so each person gets one entry, keep only comments with your keyword, or keep only comments that tag a friend.
Choose how many winners and alternates you need, press Pick winners, then copy the results to announce or keep for your records.
Every eligible entry has exactly the same chance of being drawn. The picker uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, which avoids the small bias that simpler random-number tricks introduce, and it never draws the same entry twice. With duplicates removed, someone who commented ten times has the same odds as someone who commented once.
Instagram only lets apps read comments on accounts that have connected through its official API, and only on that account's own posts. A web page cannot legally pull the comments of any public post, so any tool that claims it can for posts you don't own is scraping. Pasting works for every post, including ones on another account you are co-hosting with. For giveaways on your own account, Zaprep can collect the entries for you, see below.
Giveaway guide
A short checklist that keeps entries clean and winners easy to defend. This is general guidance, not legal advice. Contest rules vary by country, so check what applies to you.
State who can enter (age, countries), the entry period with an end date and time zone, how to enter, the prize and its value, and how and when the winner is picked and contacted.
Common requirements are following the account, liking the post, and tagging a friend in a comment. Each extra step lowers participation, so ask only for what you actually check.
Instagram's guidelines make you responsible for running the promotion lawfully. They expect official rules, a release of Instagram by each entrant, and an acknowledgement that the promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. Don't ask people to tag themselves in content they don't appear in.
Say up front whether extra comments earn extra entries. One entry per person is the easiest rule to explain, and it is the default in this picker.
Use a random picker, screen-record the draw if your audience expects proof, and keep the copied results with the date and time of the draw.
Announce the winner in a story or caption update, contact them directly, and set a deadline to reply. If they don't claim the prize in time, move to the first alternate.
For your own posts
When the giveaway runs on your own Instagram account, you don't need to copy comments by hand. Zaprep connects through Instagram's official API, so comments reach it by webhook as they are posted.
Scope the automation to the giveaway post only. Use the keyword "@" to catch tag-a-friend comments, or your own entry word.
Leave retriggering off and each person is handled once, no matter how many times they comment.
Send each entrant a short "You're entered" DM with the rules link, and optionally require a follow first with Follow Gate on a paid plan.
Every commenter is saved to your Contacts, which you can export as CSV. Paste the usernames into this picker to draw the winner.
Instagram Business Login: connect your Instagram professional account directly, no Facebook Page needed.
The same tool works as a Facebook comment picker. Copy the names or comments from your Facebook post, paste them one per line, and draw. Facebook names often contain spaces, so each full line counts as one entrant unless it starts with an @handle. If you run giveaways on a Facebook Page you manage, Zaprep can reply to those comments and send entrants a Messenger message automatically.

Yes. The picker is free with no account, no limit on entries, and no watermark on the results. Zaprep makes money from its automation plans, not from this tool.
No. Instagram only allows apps to read comments on accounts that connected through its official API. Pasting the comments works for any post. If the giveaway runs on your own account, Zaprep can collect entries automatically through a comment automation.
The picker uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling, so every eligible entry has the same probability of being picked and no entry can be drawn twice.
No. The whole draw runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to Zaprep or stored, and the list is gone when you close the page.
Turn on the option to keep only entries that contain an @mention. Lines that don't @mention another account are left out of the draw. An entrant's own @handle at the start of a line doesn't count as a tag.
Keep Remove duplicates on and each person counts once. Turn it off only if your official rules say every comment is an extra entry.
